Add Products
Products are managed from a location's Products tab.
If your store is connected to a POS or inventory system, products can sync into ShopQuery automatically. You can still review them, update key catalog fields, and enrich product details.
If you are adding products manually, use Create Product.
Open the product catalog
Go to Locations, select the location, then open the Products tab.
The Products tab includes:
- A search box for finding products in the location catalog.
- A Create Product button.
- A table with product, SKU, selling price, available quantity, quantity sold, and total sales.
Create a product
Click Create Product. ShopQuery opens a product drawer from the right side of the screen.
Fill the product details:
| Section | Fields |
|---|---|
| Images | Upload one or more public product images. |
| Product details | Product Title, Subtitle, Description, and Category. |
| Variants | Add options such as Size, Color, Type, or package size. Each variant has a name and value. |
| Inventory & Pricing | Selling Price, Available Quantity, SKU, and Barcode. |
Click Create Product to save it.
Use clear catalog details
The product title is required. Use the name customers would search for, not only an internal inventory name.
Descriptions should explain what the item is, who it is for, and any important specifications. Images should show the actual product clearly. Variants should describe real choices customers care about, such as Size: Medium or Color: Black.
Update products from the table
For quick inventory work, you do not need to open the full product drawer.
In the Products table, you can edit:
- SKU
- Selling Price
- Available Quantity
When you change one or more rows, ShopQuery shows an unsaved changes bar. Click Save to apply the updates or Discard to revert them.
Edit or delete a product
Click a product row to open its product details.
From the details drawer, you can:
- Click Edit to update images, title, subtitle, description, category, variants, price, quantity, SKU, or barcode.
- Click Delete to remove the product from the location.
- Use Enrich when available to let ShopQuery generate richer product information from an inventory item.
Synced inventory items may show enrichment status. If enrichment fails, the product details show the error and let you retry.
