Add a location
For physical stores, setup happens inside Locations. A location represents one shop branch or fulfillment point.
Add a location
Open Locations from the dashboard sidebar, then click Add location.
The location form asks for:
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | The branch or shop name. If you select a place from address search, ShopQuery can fill this automatically. |
| Address | The full shop address. |
| City | The city for the location. |
| State | The state or region. |
| Zip Code | The location postal code. |
| Country | The country. ShopQuery uses this to set the location currency. |
| Phone Number | The phone number ShopQuery should use when there is an order on your website. |
| Opening Time | The time the shop opens. The default is 08:00. |
| Closing Time | The time the shop closes. The default is 21:00. |
Click Create to submit the form and finish setting up your new location.
Connect Point of Sale
ShopQuery allows you to connect your physical point of sale devices to our platform so that you can keep tabs on sales, and track inventory in real-time from anywhere you are.
Once you click the Connect button at the top right of the page, you can:
- Click Download App to download the ShopQuery desktop app.
- Install it on the computer used at the store.
- Click Generate token in ShopQuery.
- Copy the store token shown in the dashboard.
- Enter that token in the desktop app.
The token connects that specific location to your merchant account. It expires after a short time, and ShopQuery also sends it to the email address on your account.
Manage the location after setup
Once setup is complete, the location page shows:
- Overview for the location dashboard.
- Products for the product catalog at that location.
Use the location action menu to Edit Location. For physical stores, you can also reopen Connect your store if you need to connect the desktop app again.
